A recognised overhaul business specialises in the maintenance and overhaul of equipment and safety devices. They can provide the proper adjustment of the safety valves. It is possible to achieve a certification for this which provides for the regulatory oversight of these activities. Your company thus obtains the status of approved overhaul business as described in the Pressure Equipment Regularions (PRD 3.2).

The testing and recertification of an authorised overhaul business

ECH can test new overhaul business to the PRD requirements and provide certification as a certified overhaul business. ECH can also recertify existing recognised overhaul businesses. Approved overhaul businesses may be eligible to extend the scope for testing and certification of ERVs and PVVs for storage tanks based on PGS 29.
