Become an NPR 2578 installing company?

ECH can certify your company as an accepted installer in accordance with NPR 2578. This gives you the option to postpone the inspection period for internal inspection of LPG, propane and butane installations to twelve years instead of the usual six years.

What is the NPR 2578?

The Dutch NPR 2578 was drawn up for the management and maintenance of LPG, propane and butane installations. The NPR 2578 provides instructions for installation and the use of standard installations. NPR 2578 defines the duties, responsibilities and powers of the parties involved for the technical integrity of installations.

What is our approach?

Installers can become accepted installers if they meet the NPR 2578 conditions. This means the knowledge and experience of the installer is tested. The available resources and tools are also assessed in relation to the work. After acceptance, the installer is assessed annually based on samples of the work performed. This is done to continuously monitor their level of knowledge, experience and equipment. ECH can certify your company as an accepted installer in accordance with NPR 2578.
