Need a steam measurement?

Measuring steam is a complex procedure if you want to do it according to the standard. Developments in recent years have made it possible to also measure steam (saturated or overheated) in a relatively simple way. But these newly developed methods are not supported by the standards. ECH therefore continues to rely on the knowledge of ISO 5167 for verification and/or validation activities. This successor to DIN 1952 established the principle of differential pressure measurement as the basis for the flow measurement. We can design and check flow measurements based on the this standard. We can also instruct you on how a measurement should be built in, how a measurement section should be manufactured and what issues you need to look out for.

What is our approach?

We have the option to perform a measurement entirely independently of the company meter and to compare the results with those of the company measurement. We use the self-reported differential pressure measurement to connect the pressure measurement points of an installed pressure difference measurement. This may be an existing differential pressure measurement, but can also be a measuring section specially made for the measurement section. We register the 4-20 mA measurement signal and process these signals into a statement about the flow. Insights can be given about peak consumption and the average steam consumption of users.
